Sunday Funday Fries
Chili Cheeze Fries with Cashew Chipotle Sauce
What better way to start Super Bowl Sunday Funday than with a plate of chili cheeze fries? These were nom nom nom.
Ingredients were:
- 3 small white potatoes
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 1 TBSP nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Dash of salt & ground pepper
**This makes 1 - 2 servings. Depending on if you want it as a side or as a meal. If you're planning to make this for more people multiply above ingredients by the # of persons that you are making this for.**
Preheat oven to 400 F. While oven is preheating cut potatoes lengthwise 3 - 4 times. Then cut each potato slice approximately 3 - 4 times, depending on how big your potato is; they should be no smaller than 1 cm widthwise. Toss all ingredients in a bowl and place on baking sheet. I put my french fries on a silicone baking mat, but you can also put them on parchment paper. Just a side note, if you use a silicone mat you don't need to use oil. I just do, because I like my fries with oil. Once oven is ready place fries on middle rack and set time for 30 minutes. Once timer is up, take french fries out and flip to expose other side. Put oven to 375 F and cook for another 20 - 25 minutes. Timing may vary depending on your oven and/or the type of potato that you use. Once the french fries are to your crunch factor satisfaction, put on a plate and top with Vegan cheese slice, chili, cashew chipotle sauce, green onion and jalapeño.
